Ebolavire User Info... | This show was AWESOME!!! I'm not a fan of Citadel, so I won't waste your time by yapping about it. As for Mito, I remember their first show out in Brentwood, their set ended with a few OrganSplatter tracks. (heh heh heh cymbals + hammer = party) It's so fuckin' wicked to be able to see the difference between then and now. Their chemistry as a band combined with their sweet-ass, old-school death metal is captivating. I realized at some point that I'm lucky to have been able to witness their growth and maturity as songwriters and performers. I could write way more and pick apart every aspect of the performance but that would be really long winded and sound more like a giant ass-kiss, so I'll leave that as it is. (...and yes, I bought a cd.) 3IOB was positively inspiring. I was inspired to get down to the mosh pit, (yes, while still wearing PVC and chains), where I stayed for a decent chunk of their set. The last pit I was in was at Suffocation/Fear Factory and that was different. I'd forgotten how much playful energy can be siphoned out of a crowd and recycled like Soylent Green into a mammoth whirlwind of purely ecstatic, joyful bouyancy. Anyone down there with us felt it, and I personally found it intoxicating. I haven't had so much fun in far too long, especially in a pit with such a party vibe. Again, I'm gonna cut off this overly-wordy yapping about here, because, well, seriously, does anyone even read past the first couple of lines anyways? The only thing that could've made the night better would have been if I'd had someone special to share it with. As a solo mission, it was still mission accomplished. Rock the fuck on boys! - Sun, 14 Jan 2007 7:27pm Edited: Sun, 14 Jan 2007 7:28pm
Tim-Bitchfork User Info... | Twas a good show. Citadel is different, and I like to see that always, cool set and neat style they have. Mito cleaned the place up when they started, they are really getting tight and a defined style. The twin vocals and guitar are fucking awesome and the riffs are deadly, great band to watch. That sampler thing seemed pretty neat too, I gotta check that out sometime. 3IOB fucking slayed, of course. I wouldn't call them entirely power metal but I love going to any show with power metal, it gives the crowd an entirely different, happy energy. I really like this band but I'm not a giant fan of power metal screech vocals but cam is good at what he does, I am just a picky bastard. Very cool show, good times a Sugar every time, I like the sound in there. - Sun, 14 Jan 2007 8:40pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Really enjoyed Citadel and Mito. Woah! Give that Mito drummer a raise! Who knew Karl could hold sticks and beat things with them? Watch out Spencer. 3IOB not my style of metal, but they put on a great show. - Mon, 15 Jan 2007 5:03pm
Josh Rosario User Info... | Fucking wicked show, I was a little too drunk at first but when "Kill the Orcs" came on, I was up and ready to thrash again. My first time actually seeing all three bands, and I was very impressed with all. Sound wasn't very good from where I was standing, near the back of the pit. Mostly just the vocals anyway. Great show. - Tue, 16 Jan 2007 10:52pm
Tim-Bitchfork User Info... | I think 3IOB should be more Canadian and be called "7.26 Centimeters of Blood", those assholes.. - Thu, 18 Jan 2007 3:42pm
