The new Taking Back Sunday is a great disc if uhhhh you like that sort of thing.

Now assuming you have their last disc (Tell All Your Friends), then you will enjoy this one. To be honest, there does not seem to be that "one" great song on here like Cute Without The E or Great Romances but the disc is solid.

That band sticks to their TBS formula of competing and screaming volcals and singing about break-ups. The disc very nicely polished and super cheap at A&B Sound.

I thought I wasn't going to like the disc but I have been listening to it for a few days and it is growing on me with every play so I give it 8 cherry pies.

I agree, the more I listen, the more I NEED to listen. Its like fucking drugs or something.... this much EMO can't be good for you, but I can't take the record out of my player. - Mon, 9 Aug 2004 11:02pm

I know exactly what you mean. When i first listened to it I was thinking "what the hell have i gotten myself into here". I don't particularly like TBS and i bought this CD on the word of a friend.

It's freaking amazing though. The more I listen the more i can't stop.

PS.
If this is your "thang" then check out "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" by "My Chemical Romance"... quality emo. (no jackass remarks about that being an oxymoron) - Tue, 10 Aug 2004 1:30am

Well... first off, I along with lots of others really liked tell all your friends. I think the new album is actually a bit of a departure. I don't think the material is nearly as strong as the previous album. These new songs are less dynamic in the sense that they don't change nearly as much. There is definately more monotony. I think the band did this on purpose, as it seems they went for a more straight ahead, simple sound, relying even more heavily on sing along vocal melodies (if thats possible) After seeing TBS twice and hearing their follow up album, they have definatly lost quite a bit of my admiration.

Yeah and Rex, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is the new MCR disc. Its good. But the new Sparta cd is really cool too. - Tue, 10 Aug 2004 3:31pm
