| Ent-Ausserung | ****JULIAN FUCKING COPE**** RADIO BERLIN Vancouver's gloomy/upbeat finest new-wave quartet, first performance in Victoria with Rob, formerly of the Black Halos! Fuck Me USA White Pants? Victoria's most press-naive rhythmic n' melodic post-punk group. In economical Ent-Ausserung fashion the performance will cost five of your summer dollars, the doors will open at 9 (bands commencing once the sun goes down), alcohol will be served by the most charming and knowledgeable bar staff in Victoria, witty banter will be exchanged between performers and audience, and summer haircuts will be flaunted... Bring cameras, wristbands, and a long list of new-wave band names to heckle with. At this point, it might be pertinent to mention that Radio Berlin will have a new album out, available on Action Driver Records... Jack Duckworth is a real swell fellow. Chris Frey is a real swell fellow. Lindsay Sung is a real swell lady. And this Rob guy isn't half-bad either. All things considered, (time, cost of paper, CD, chance to socialize) this is a far better deal than sitting at home on a friday night, taking webcam photos of yourself to post on Friendster, and burning the new Rapture CD, which won't be released until October anyways and will be mixed differently and have a different track list and blah blah blah.
