The CFUV metal show you all know and love, formerly known as The Disciples Of Doctor Demento (worst name ever? It lasted 11 years somehow) has changed its name to RIOT IN THE DUNGEONS.

It has been airing every Sunday from 3:30pm to 5pm, and will do so again for one more Sunday (June 1). Thereafter, beginning on June 8, it will be on from 9 to 10pm Pacific time every Sunday night (just before the Fish Show) on CFUV FM 102, or 104.3 on cable FM if that still exists, or on RealAudio at http://cfuv.uvic.ca

Contact the Fonz with requests and metal conversation at [email protected] (guess we'll need to change that address though). I'm usually co-hosting so you can e-mail me about it too. Metal! \m/ - Wed, 21 May 2003 7:47pm

Okay, 102.1 then. Or maybe 101.9 works better depending where you are. I live near Hillside/Quadra and I can't even pick up the station at all myself. Anyway I screwed up with the dates, I meant the last 3:30-5pm show is Sunday May 25, and the first 9-10pm show is Sunday June 1. - Thu, 22 May 2003 11:53pm
Faithful Listener Ahhh, I don't understand. Is this good or bad news? Smaller time slot, less listeners? Or is this good because it's before the FISH show? argh, now what am I gonna do Sunday afternoons?! HELP... - Fri, 23 May 2003 12:07am

Yeah, same show, metal metal metal, just a new name and what we think is a better time. It was a trade-off to take 30 minutes less though, an hour is gonna feel pretty short. But metal sounds better at night. Didn't mean anything by the Fish Show comment, just that lots of people know about it and know when that is so it helps to refer to it to identify when ours is. I know there is some good TV viewing around that time on Sunday night. But I would guess a lot of people are outside in the afternoons and don't listen to us, especially in the summer (if any other metalheads are like me and enjoy the outdoors... ooh, an opening for anonymous smartass comments there). Anyway thanks a ton for listening and hopefully you can continue to! - Fri, 23 May 2003 9:33am
