Planet Smashers have finally Released the title of their upcoming CD along with Release date. Their 5th studio album will be called MIGHTY and will hit the streets on June 3rd. Look out for the first single to be released to radio real soon. The band will be promoting the new disc as part of the GRIND tour with Bigwig, Belvedere and Big D & The Kids Table.

Five brave men race against time to complete a daunting and dangerous task... Risking their own lives, and that of every man, woman and child on Earth to implement their incredible scheme... Their destination: the farthest stars in the universe... Their mission: complete pangalactic domination... They are... Initial sightings, immediately dismissed by the authorities, were reported in the spring of 93. As most of the contactess were morally-bankrupt drunks from the Montreal area, the media paid little attention to the five shady characters, who were quietly formulating a lethal strain of ska. By tampering with the fundamental genetic structure of the ska bug, they were able to generate a sound so infectious, it induced lab rats to perform crude emulations of human skanking at such an accelerated pace that they all had little brain aneurysms and died. Reports of Smasher activity increase daily, particularly along the Boston/New York corridor, southern Ontario, and now four times across Canada. Crowds screamed when the Smashers appeared alongside Buffy Ste. Marie in Yellowknife, NWT. Brains exploded when the Smashers infiltrated a Montreal performance by Australian ABBA impersonators Bjorn Again. Children ran for cover when the Smashers invaded Montreal and Quebec at this years Warped Tour. Heads of state wept openly when the Smashers joined Hepcat, Skoidats,New York Jazz Ensemble, and many more at a top secret ska summit just outside of Boston. Can anything stop this quintet of terror, who rise phoenix-like from the ashes of tragedy? Former bassist Ceco Munaretto, as well as original brassholes Travis Wilkinson and Andrew Skowronski were lost in a horrible, Challenger-style accident of a rather suspicious nature. While horribly scarred, Mighty Matt Collyer refused to surrender his post as Vocal Communications Officer and Troubleshooter, Daring Dave Cooper was reassigned from drum duty to the post of Bass Engineer. A new Battery Sergeant was recruited - muscling his way in was Tim Doyle, member of a shadowy sister organization known as Gangster Politics. Greenhorned rookies Kurt Ruzchiensky and Leon Kingstone signed on as Trombone and Sax Technicians, respectively. This solid team of dedicated professionals were now ready to tear Planet Smashers, Mark 2 off the drafting table and unleash it upon the worlds helpless populace. Already the mechanisms of fatal planetary bigshotness have been stealthily slipped into place. It seems theyoung people of Earth are hypnotically attracted to noisy, shiny things, so the Planet Smashers have subverted the technology of videos (Mission Aborted - shot on the set of The X-Files, My Decision, and Change) and compact discs to further their uncanny plans. In the summer of 97, the Smashers unveiled their most potent device yet... "Attack of the Planet Smashers". "Attack of the..." received extensive radio play, charting No. 2 for two months on the National College Radio Association Top 50 and hassold over 12,000 copies

**************

BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE IS:

Chris Bush - Saxophone
Sean Rogan - Guitar
Dave McWane - Vocals
Jason Gilbert - Drums
Steve Foote - Bass
Paul E. Cuttler - Trombone
Dan Stoppelman - Trumpet

With a name like that, it's no surprise that this seminal Boston band has set themselves apart from the usual cookie-cutter fare of bands since forming in 1996. Ignoring pop and emo trends, Big D has developed and stayed true to their own unique style, taking the catchy rhythm of ska and the raw energy of punk rock to make truly original music that's at once aggressive and fun.

With an explosive live show to match their high-energy sound, Big D has earned their reputation as one of the more exciting bands to watch these days. Giving 100% at every show has garnered them a legion of exceptionally supportive and dedicated fans that grows by word of mouth with every show.

In the current musical climate, when many have turned their backs on anything ska or ska/punk, Big D And The Kids Table refuses to compromise, continuing to make great music, and showing no sign of bowing to trends.

Big D And The Kids Table played their 1st show at the legendary Middle East in Boston in 1996. In 1997, Fork In Hand Records released "Shot By Lammi", a split featuring 11 songs from Big D and 10 songs from Boston friends Drexel. A split 7" with Washington, DC's Lounge and a live ep followed in 1998. Their 2nd full-length, "Good Luck", was released on Halloween of 1999, and re-released on Asian Man Records in February of 2000. In 2001, Big D appeared on another split ep called "Look What You've Done", this time on Household Name Records of London, with Bristol, UK's 5 Knuckle. "The Gipsy Hill Lp" is their most recent effort. A full length will be recorded later this year, and they already have too many songs to include them all. Big D has also appeared on countless nationally distributed compilations, including Too Hep Records' "Metalliska" and Asian Man's "Mailorder Is Fun". They are currently anticipating the release of compilation/enhanced cd "The Giant Rock N Roll Swindle," which features and unreleased track, "L.A.X." and tracks from The Suicide Machines, The Hives, International Noise Conspiracy, The Bouncing Souls, and more.

Big D just finished recording material for their upcoming full length with Jim
Siegel (Gipsy Hill, Dropkicks, Bosstones) and expect an early 2003 release.
Besides their studio achievements, Big D has toured with the likes of Mu330, The Lawrence Arms, and The Allstonians, and shared stages with bands such as The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, Dropkick Murphys, Snuff, Catch 22, Mad Caddies and many more. With 3 European tours and countless US tours under their belts, and plans to conquer Canada, the kids will be busy, make sure you catch 'em live.
