Anonymous Yaaay!!! (just like every other year) - Sat, 1 Mar 2003 2:57pm
Rich I just saw the poster...advance tickets are at Ditch, Lyles and A&B...and that new band Tangiers are opening...they sound alot like the Strokes..should be a good one - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 7:21pm
Thurston Deal I dunno man. Frank Black's voice has proved to be too tiresome for an old man like me over the past years. I would shell out the fifteen dollars needed to attend this show but I'd rather stay in my room and brood over the demise over the ultimate post-Pixies band...THE BREEDERS! - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 9:15pm
Kim Moore You are the reason why the live music scene is Victoria is struggling. I loathe the "been there, heard that" attitude that is so omnipresent in our city. If it is true that things improve with age, Black Francis has achieved perfection. The Breeders were a poor excuse for a band and were created simply out of Kim's inability to relinquish the spotlight and allow the true genius of Mr. Black to shine. - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 9:19pm
Thuston Deal Excuse me but the pure falseness of your name completely obliterates any chance you had of me takking you seriously...with that said let me address teh following. The reil reeson the music seen is doing so bad in Victoria is becuase arrogant assholes such as yourself won't give real, sincere, bands their due. Why Victoria's own 'Gashly Crumb' is struggling to be heard at this very moment, and is it because the songs are lame???NO! It's becuase people like you think that the new suck and that the old are good...you seeing Frank Balk only proofs my point!!! How dair you be so rude! - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 9:28pm
Kim Moore Excuse me but the pure idiocy and lack of grammatical aptitude in your posts completely obliterates any chance you had of me takking you seriously. I firmly believe that good music endures. That having been said, being real and sincere isnt synonymous with intelligent and enduring musical composition. Gashly Crumb is struggling for good reason. Allow me to momentarily sink to your primal ape-like camosun college level: You are a fucking idiot. I CHALLENGED YOUR SORRY ASS TO A FIGHT AT THE FRANK BLACK SHOW! SHOWCASE YOUR TOTAL AND UTTER COWARDICE, YOU SHIT EATING ASSHOLE! - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 9:44pm
Thurston Deal Let me try 'splainin something to you ma'am...hopfully it will clairify why i am such a poor speller. You see, when I was a young boy growing up in the late 80's, in teh shithole that we call Langford, the only thing that got me thru the days was the music of the pixies. i woould spend years listneing to the pixies (and to some eckstent the breeders) dreaming about how someday I'd leave langford. the pixies got me through all that and now I live in Victoria but iam still depressed... cant you see how Frank Balk coming to Victoria makes me feel like the 18 year old who only wanted to live a good life? its like he is making fun of the fact I cant get off this island! I stand by my dedication to the gashly crumb...perhaps you should listen to one of their songs before you make fun of me. http://brandxmedia.org/mp3s/Gashley_crumb_-_Anti-conceivable.MP3 - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 9:45pm
Kim Moore I apologize, my post was intended to be read as "I challenge..." and not meant as an idle past threat. Fucking hell, just simply reading your posts has dramatically decreased my intellectual capacity. Judging from your cohesionless verbal meanderings it seems as though you've been partaking in a few too many illicit substance filled days and nights in East Langford with the pock riddled Deal sisters. I have no more time for this garbage, I must go and alphabetize my vast Pixies and Pixies side project collection. And by the way, it isn't just Frank Black that ridicules you for the fact that you can't get off Vancouver Island, alone get out of the Western Communities. If I wanted a cheap shot of poor man's Nine Inch Nails/A Perfect Circle ripoffs i'd now know just where to find it! Thank You. - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 9:48pm

I fail to see where any real argument exists anyway. The two posters are obviously one person who must be very, very bored. Look at the times of the posts. - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 10:20pm
SweetGrass Oh My Dog! Imagine... creative, self promotion!?! - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 11:33pm
The joy luck club Regardless of how you felt about the pixies breaking up you can't deny that both bands to follow were good. Frank went a little experimentel and kim stayed in the mainstream SO WHAT!! Frank black has always been on the cutting edge of music. Think of the amount of people he has inspired. His show is worth 20$. Even if you don't want to admit it he is a legend. - Sun, 2 Mar 2003 11:44pm
Anonymous gashly crumb -"Nine Inch Nails/A Perfect Circle ripoffs" -
I can see how that mp3 could be heard that way (disagree though). Check out a show; it's not an accurate description of the band.
