Deep Dragon Uhhhhhh, Okay lets get down to the reviews! The lack of people was disapointing but the people who were there enjoyed a crazy line up consisting of 2 rock bands, 2 punk bands and one crazy metal band. We've been had were the first all girl punk band that I saw and they were okay. Nothing too special. Next of Kin and Ten feet between us played an steller show, they were fucking tight and were cd quality. Wouldn't mind seeing those two bands play together in the VERY near future (Elizabeth, think you can hook something up?). Then there was D-Face. Fuck they got the crowd in an uproar. The mosh wasn't too bad and Cam going up on stage was hilarious. Tough as Nails was fucking awesome, too bad all the other bands had "rock star egos" and left after their set. Hats off to Elizabeth once again for putting on another show in Bwood, it's exactly what that fucking hick town needs. - Sun, 18 May 2003 3:47am

You missed a good show Aaron. I think we did preety good even though i couldn't hear, my monitor was quiet as fuck and they couldn't turnin it up. I think our new song "untitled/fuckin rippin" will sound even better with practice. Thanks again to liz for another show. C ya later.

PS Aaron, we have a 5 song, 25-ish min. set we can play with you guys if your interested. - Sun, 18 May 2003 4:24am
Jo The first 3 bands weren't too shabby, not exactly my favourte taste in music - but the bands did their best and still had fun despite the small crowd. Delcious Face put on a awesome show! Love Tormented and the first song. Lookin' forward to seeing you guys again at the Brentwood Festival on the 7th. Tough As Nails had a lot of energy; they ripped it up as usual.

Elizabeth, I love helping you out with these fucking gigs - you make Brentwood proud! - Sun, 18 May 2003 10:33am
Bo -DF As for my 2 cents; I thought everything went really well. The turnout was a little dissapointing, but those faithful did a great job and made the best of it. (We had another bleeder or two from the pit). I think all of the bands there were really talented. Our set went really well, despite our half-cut band. HAHAHA! Well, gave everyone a taste of things to come. Looking forward to the next couple of shows coming up eary June, especially the Against Racism w/ Gallows and some other cool bands. Later and thanks for comin out! (PS The sound people sucked again, so our levels were fucked and you couldn't hear out lead guit. much) - Sun, 18 May 2003 10:55am

This is seriously the best feedback my band has ever gotten. I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you to Elizabeth for doing such a great job on putting on such a great show. I hope you will feel free to call us for anything you need in the future Elizabeth :)
I'd also like to apologize for most of my band leaving early, I know its rude and I hate it when others do it to us. It was my fault because I had made plans with other people for afterwards. Although our singer, Jeff, stayed till the end and got a ride home with someone else. I'm going to ask him how it went when I see him today.
For the bands I saw: The all girl rock band "We've Been Had" was cool. They'd be awesome for party's and stuff, especially with that adorable singer on the drums. Very entertaining girls, good job!
And "Next of Kin", what can I say?? but it was nice to see another non-punk/metal band in the scene. You guys are way above average talent wise. I predict big things for you guys in the future and I hope to play with you as much as possible. - Sun, 18 May 2003 1:38pm
Elizabeth I should be disapointed with this show, but I'm not. This show went on without any problems, minus the guy bleeding from the mosh and the complaints that the line up was changed (Blame the rock star egos out there). Although there was a lack of people, I too agree that the people who did come to the show got to see excellent performances from all the bands. My goal is to get another 300+ people packed into that place, so until I do, I'm gonna just have to keep putting on shows. If you have any problems with that "Lets take it outside outside". - Sun, 18 May 2003 2:11pm
ML7Mike We were aproached about an anti racism show at Sancha Hall in Sydney.. would this be the same benefit you guys mention? - Sun, 18 May 2003 2:42pm

Whocares? Decent show all in all, the first band was halarious and put on a nice happy set. Next of Kin played a tight set of music I would never ever purchase. Delicious face got the whole place shaking with some deliciously good metal. And last but not least, though as nails who were also really good - nice to finish the show off with some heavy tunes!!!! - Sun, 18 May 2003 4:01pm

The show was alright. We've Been Had played a good set, and Tough As Nails were fuckin' rad. Not all the bands were rockstars... We've Been Had were there 'til the end but the bass and everything was all packed away already when Tough As Nails needed one. Good to see they did end up getting another bass though. Stupid metal kids who try to mosh with the hardcore dancers really need to get a clue. - Sun, 18 May 2003 4:36pm
Anonymous Bad night to have a show. 3 inches were playing in vic and a shitload of sammichton people went to a mass camping party on SS for the weekend. I would have come, but I didn't. Make an anti-racism show in BB, that would probably go over very well and it would get lots of media coverage in the area as nothing ever, ever happens out here. - Sun, 18 May 2003 4:54pm
Doctor Attitude The 3 inches wasn't really promoted until a couple of days ago so how the hell were they supposed to know? Ah well. If Elizabeth promises to put on more shows, then it's all good.

What was up with Cam's "girlfriend" advice that creeped me out. To the other bands the anti-racism show is ran by another group, not the b-wood youth. The Sansha hall's a good venue. It is retardedly huge but has no stage. Alright acoustics. Looks like a great floor gig. - Mon, 19 May 2003 12:49am
Alicia (Next of Kin) Thank you again Elizabeth :) - Mon, 19 May 2003 1:41am
Alicia (Next ofKin) Thanks to everyone for the great feedback, and it's nice to hear that even though our music may not be your thing, that we played a tight set. Much appreciated. Sorry for not staying past 10 feet between us, but people were already showing up at my house so I figured I'd be a good hostess :)
We've been had played a sweet set, I'm loving the pink bass!! 10 feet between us rocked the house, definately want to hear them again. I heard the rest of the bands were sweet too, so we gotta keep these things happening!! Thanks again to the faithful little crowd of Kin supporters at the show and everyone else who helped make this possible. - Mon, 19 May 2003 1:41am

Bo -DF Hey Aaron,
This show in Sidney sounds good to go. I think it's June 10th? Julia told me that you were gonna help out organizing it? I said I'd help too. Everyone know about the Bwood festival in the summer? It gonna be FUCKIN HUGE!!! something like 12 metal bands in one day! - Mon, 19 May 2003 8:09pm
Elizabeth B, the Brentwood Festival is on June 7th with 4 local bands. What I plan to do is a "Brent-wood-stock" most likely on July 19th and 20th if we get it approved by council next week. Details coming soon. I would really like to get D-Face, Gallows, Gross, Meat, Threat and some other bands to play. 24 bands in two days. Whose up to the challange?! I sure as hell am. - Mon, 19 May 2003 8:57pm

Yes I offered help but I have heard nothing more about the Metalheads Against Racism show. We are playing with Himsa and Tough as Nails June 18th in Vic and in Nanaimo with Seasons of Sorrow on June 14th I believe so we may not be able to participate if we dont hear soon. As for Brentwood Stock I guess we need to get that date confirmed as I was putting a show on at Logans July 19th with Seasons of Sorrow, Gallows End, Abuse of Power and DFace. I will have to move this if Elizabeth gets the 19-20th. Sooner I know the better. I DONT want to be on the hook having to compete for that night.... - Mon, 19 May 2003 11:15pm
Elizabeth I'll get it confirmed ASAP Wreaker. Council is on monday nights so thats when we'll know. - Tue, 20 May 2003 12:23am

Hey! wow i'm late.. alright show! i didn't see all the bands but... TAN fucking ruled the night, tfbu played a really tight + talented set but it seemed to me to lack real feeling (maybe it was just me), i'd rather hear 3 power chords played with heart. DF were gggggggrrreat! and to the fat kid who kept charging into our backs from 30 ft and finally got shoved to the ground by like 5 of us: FUCK YOU - Thu, 22 May 2003 12:44pm

Doctor Attitude You can see Delicious Face again on June 7th at the Brentwood Bay Festival. Elizabeth is organizing bands for the "youth" stage located behind the libary. - Thu, 22 May 2003 8:20pm
Metalhead Mike haaaaaa, and isn't there a "Brentwoodstock" thing coming up? And like 3 shows coming up in August? Elizabeth: When do you sleep and have fun? Don't you like work fucking 10 jobs or whatever and go to school? - Thu, 22 May 2003 8:24pm
thunder were is this brentwoodstock said to be occuring? - Fri, 23 May 2003 4:41am
Bo DF is NOT going to be playing at the Bwood Festival. It's a family-oriented thing with old people eating hotdogs and icecream. Find a folk band or something please!

Bo The against racism show; Julie and I are still trying to figure this one out. I dont think its looking too good right now, but I'll keep ya posted. She wants to put all the proceeds to a kegger afterwards, so it would be easily worth comin out! - Fri, 23 May 2003 11:46pm
