great show!

morning call - second time seeing them. I liked them more this time around, but again, not my sort of music.

diplomatic impunity - second time seeing this band aswell. very good reggea band. i especially like the old skool ska cover, aswell as the manditory slackers cover.

counting heartbeats - first time seeing them. they knocked me off my socks!! what a great band. they have a very close sound to porcupine tree, but adding some awesome rock into it.

the mcgillicuddys - second time seeing this band aswell! they played a really sweet set. i can't really say anything more than"they rock!" - Sun, 30 Jan 2005 10:44am

I have to say that the McGillicuddy's show was perfectly timed... a great performance right before Saturday's show got everyone's enthusiasm up.. not to subordinate the mcgillicuddys, because they are one of the best bands from this town in my opinion...
It was cool to see you play w/ the Mc Gillicuddys Joey, you did a smashing job.
Also, thank you lads and lasses for playing 'If I Should Fall From Grace With God', it's one of my favourite Pogues songs, and it drove me fucking nuts when I heard it. Great show guys. - Sun, 30 Jan 2005 9:26pm

I only had time to see Counting Heartbeats. 3rd time I have heard them live. They again knocked me out. Multi-instrumentalists with a great groove. High energy. Great moshing had by all. The medium is the message. Bought the tee-shirt and can't wait for their demo to come out. I hear they will be on tour in the near future with my other favourite local band (BTS Black Tie Social).
Tim on the sticks was solid and steady. Jason on Keys/guitar was monster. Aidan on Guitar as steady and tasteful as ever. Dan on bass well what can I say he's the one; great feel and in the pocket. Josh: You totally ruled man. Clear vocals and lots of madcap showmanship and fabbriffs!!!! (Neologism you may use as your own in the future). Don't miss these guys when you ever get another chance to see/hear experience "The Beat" - Sun, 30 Jan 2005 9:53pm

That show was rather fun.

Morning Call - Generic emo band. Very polished & professional sounding but not really my thing.

Diplomatic Impunity - They were great. A lot more laid back than Ten Too Late & I think the vocals fit the style much better than with their old vocalist.

Counting Heartbeats - Tight musicianship & amazing stage presence. The whole playing the guitar with the violin bow (I think..?) was neat.

The McGillicuddys - I only caught part of their set but it was very energetic. A lot better than the last time I saw them, probably because the crowd was a lot more into them and they fit better at Big Fernwood than at a high school where anyone who is moshing gets kicked out. Very fun band & I hope to see them again.

If any of the bands want the photos I took of them send me an email. - Wed, 2 Feb 2005 1:57pm
