One piece of advise: Play as many original tunes as you did covers and only play one cover. I suspect more originals will come in time though. It was sold out, but at any given time throughout the night there was always room for more people inside. I'm sorry if i offend anyone with all this but your a cover band and most of the covers you picked i cant say i enjoyed (limp biskit? and such?).As far as "best metal drummer on the vi"...Aaron from Gallows end takes the cake with that catagory. Or Jason but i dont know if you call that metal. WBOM was alot of fun. Any kid under 18 had their eyes on Johnny and everyone else was watching Brian jumping around (which was also rad). | XJAyX User Info... | The show was fun as hell, I got there a little late (or rather in my opinion the show started too early) so I missed Cutthroat Dynasty, but no big deal, they are playing again on Saturday anyways. Twiceborn were alright, but too many covers. They played what they played well though. I won't comment on my own band, but the Cloak, holy shit. I thought they played way better than the last 2 times I've seen them, pretty tight and Lex's vocals fucking rule. Kincaide were pretty good, they have some pretty good stuff and super high energy, which is always Key. The turn out was amazing, I guess all the new bands telling their friends really works. The crowd was rad, and super into it which always makes a great show. In school we always had to analyze our prefomences, in fact we would listen to our tapes on the way back from a festival and we would have to write comments on it. | Jodi User Info... | I would see no problem in judging onesself in whether they played well or not. They know what they're capable of, and when they play poorly. Cut Throat Dynasty were really good for their first time playing a show, the True Till Death cover was awesome. Twiceborn were pretty good but not really my kind of music. They were awesome at what they played though. War By Other Means were AWESOME. Can't wait to check them out again. The Cloak. All I can say is holy. shit. Best band I've seen live, the vocals are some of the best I've ever heard. And Kincaide as always played an awesome show. All I heard was the same repetitive, week screeeming over and over agin. | mcecill User Info... | Easy tiger, people are allowed tp have an opinion on a vocalist being one dimensional. I mean, I actually feel the same way. Im all for someone screaming their face off for an entire set, doesnt bother me. In the case of the cloak, I feel that there were definate points in the music in which differnt vocal styles would have benefited the songs. I also think that the half screaming technique was getting tired towards the end, and yes I'm entitled to that opinion. Dont get so wrapped up in being "hardcore" that you lose perspective.
