How old is your Mark IV? Is it custom (like the picture in your link) or does it have standard grill cloth and wood? I may be interested. Thank You. - Sat, 18 Oct 2003 9:32pm

Hey Korn

Why must you act like a CHILD and post uselessly at a buy'n'sell forum. Oh . . . just a sec . . . . I think I hear your mommy calling you. Have you nothing better to do. I checked with L&M and the Mark IV sells for $2795 before taxes. I have been playing for 40 years, and the Mark IV is a VERY versatile amp. Also check out what they sell for on eBay!! $1400 to $1800 Cdn, is a very fair price for a Mark IV in good shape.

Over at my Mark IV thread, where you again RUDELY posted, the reason I said I am not selling for the time being is that the amp I was going to get to replace my Mark IV sold. So until I find a replacement I need the amp. Go see the shrink you know and he will explain it to you.

Pleeeeze . . . GROW UP . . . or SHUT UP!!!!

Tim you seem to have a lot of pent up anger inside, if you get this mad on a message board at a fourteen year old kid then who knows how you would act in society. Can't we all just get along? - Thu, 13 Nov 2003 5:32am

Colin, can you explain to me what reason you have to make assumptions about someone's personality that you know nothing about? I have been hanging out at various recording and musician forums for the past 10 years or so. I am usually the first person to say "look guys, were all musicians here with a common goal; can't we all just get along and try to help each other rather than argue or flame". But this site seems to have no rules, no manners, no respect for fellow musicians, etc. etc. All of my posts were honest and sincere. You tell me who called us "suckers" and recommended a "shrink". These people need to be called out if we are going to make this a cooperative Victoria endeavor. Hey let's show the internet society that Victoria is not just a bunch of whiners and losers.

There are MANY other similar forums that have just turned into flame war after flame war. The ones that work well, are the ones where the community has rules and respect for each other. It is commonly considered VERY RUDE to post the way Korn did in a buy'n'sell forum. 99% of the time the seller has done their homework and knows the market value for the item they are selling; BUT even if they didn't, if it is priced to high it simply will not sell. There is no need for anyone to post and try to hurt that persons chance to make a sale. If everyone followed those simple rules, this site will work..

You look back and see who started the flames. Personally, I call that rude and uncalled for, which needs to be addressed. Some buy and sell forums have blocked all responses to adds for these very same reasons.

I do not appreciate you making judgments about my character, when you really no nothing about me, other than I was calling out someone who started rude threads without first doing his homework. Please think about why and what you are posting first, and I think you will make the right choices. If Korn had thought first and applied a bit of respect, none of this would ever have taken place. Can you honestly tell me that you would not have been bothered at all if you were selling an amp for a VERY fair price and it was suggested that you were ripping people off and that you consider them suckers? Or being told that you need a shrink because you have decided you cannot sell the amp at this time? There can be only one motive for posts like that, and I will stand up to losers like that.

A buy'n'sell forum is not the place to display your personal frustrations. I stand by my original response, with no pent up anger, just pure common sense. :) - Thu, 13 Nov 2003 8:31am

it was more or less just an observation that a year ago everyone and their goat wanted a Mesa Boogie, and no sooner do they finally arrive in Victoria for sale in a store than a bunch of people start trying to sell them used. Now, the market for Boogie in Victoria has been impacted by the fact that everyone who wanted one probably went and bought one new. I wanted one, but I havent bought one because no matter what way you look at it, they are expensive new or used. But it strikes me as odd that a new mesa mark 4 combo is $400 more expensive than a new triple rectifier head. - Thu, 13 Nov 2003 10:46am

Wow a mesa boogie mk4 is a very controversial amp, hint: when comparing list prices on boogie product make sure to add the options to the base price, as you may be out by about 500 to 600 canadian. Looks like Im no longer desperate for money, so if I dont get any solid offers on the amp I will be keeping it.

Hey Tim, I heard your band. Maybe its time to pack it in, midi instruments are lame, and all those "unsolisited" reviews of it on the cosmic debris site are quite contrived, its almost like they were saying " I look forward to seeing you, like I look forward to a hurrican. But hey I guess you can be a big shot in cyberspace. - Thu, 13 Nov 2003 8:28pm

Hey Osama, thanks very much for that well thought out, in depth review of my Freefall CD's. I can see you really know your music. BUT, can I ask why you are posting this at a Buy'n'Sell forum? You do know what a Buy'n'Sell forum is used for . . . right? Why not post your wonderful, well versed reviews at the appropriate forum in future.

Cheers
