TheWolf User Info... | Especially anyone with Mike Watts EB-3 (Hopefully they never produced a Mike Watt Gibson Artist Version) - Tue, 5 Aug 2008 10:33pm
BBJones User Info... | that is about as shitty as it gets. But, does this shit only happen in Canada? Why do out of town bands leave all their gear outside and unprotected in a vehicle/truck/van especially with out of town plates? Not sure about the rest of you, but I don't let my band van out of my sight if all our gear is inside... and my gear isn't even worth anything! - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 7:26am
Soap Dodger User Info... | Actually I read on Wintersleep's myspace page that they had their gear stolen in LA. I'm sick of reading about bands getting cleaned out. With the consistency at which these scumbags operate it would make a lot of sense to implement a 'bait-car' band van system, and start locking these guys up. - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 1:53pm
Sati User Info... | “talk about teh hottest hot gear in north america, this stuff is radioactive…” Haha, no shit. But seriously, how sophisticated do thieves have to be to pull off a heist like this? Is this the type of thing where they knew exactly who’s stuff it was and have the space to stash it for however long? Or is it really someone going “oh shit…” now? - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 2:17pm
Sati User Info... | Every time I’ve had friends in from out of town I’ve given them strict instructions, but it doesn’t seem to sink in, they still do dumb things. I always tell them “you have to think like a criminal”. Who needs a fix. And I’m always the paranoid one who stays outside by the wide open vehicle of gear while people are moving stuff in & out, since it doesn’t occur to anyone… even with streets teaming with sketchy people. - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 2:26pm
the jak User Info... | fuckin montreal...same city where the black halo's van got stolen with all the gear in it...we play there once or twice a year and as we do in every city we get someone to sleep in the van with the gear ...even if its winter time...and our gear has yet to be stolen...but someone once got boneheads backpack containing alot of money right from his feet at foufs(in montreal).....gotta watch out when touring and gotta watch out twice as hard in montreal....organized crime there don't ya know... - Wed, 6 Aug 2008 9:31pm Edited: Wed, 6 Aug 2008 9:32pm
