STOLEN BASS - Please Help

| Susan User Info... | Hi - My bass was stolen last night between 8:45 & 10:00 pm from my friend's car (as were her headphones). It's not a super expensive bass, but I loved it. It's a Fender Squire Precision, a dark burgundy with a white scratch guard plate (in a black backpack style carrying case with 2 patch cords - one, bubblegum pink; the other, blue & red). If anyone hears about it, please let me know. The new band I'm in (The Judd Hirsch) is having its first show next Thursday & the timing of this really sucks. I have no money to buy a new one, so I'm hoping there'll be something decent to rent for the show. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks. - Mon, 14 Apr 2003 10:50am | ||
| Holmes | If you have any serial numbers or specific identifying marks and have not reported it to the police yet, I think you should. Then, take any info you have and a photocopy of a good pic of the bass around to pawn shops. Leave them a copy. ... even if it doesn't work, you gotta try! H - Mon, 14 Apr 2003 12:34pm | ||
| susan User Info... | Thanks for the suggestions. I've already phoned around to all of the pawn shops & music stores & given them a description of the bass along with the police file #. I unfortunately don't have the serial number but I'm hoping that I can track it down through Wards/Long & McQuade. I bought it at Ward's about 7 years ago, though, so I'm hoping the person who said they kept records for 10 years is right. - Mon, 14 Apr 2003 2:32pm | ||
