Message Board > Gear Buy & Sell > SELLING ALL MY GEAR incl instruments, recording, and misc. |
Mi*coll* User Info... | I am moving to Toronto to go to school. As a result I am selling ALL my music gear including recording stuff and instruments, except for my Marshall, which my dad wants to hold on to (I don't blame him). It is breaking my heart, but you might find something that you like.... As a brief note on these prices, I am not going to say they are "firm", but I think that they are mostly quite fair (although if you have reason to believe otherwise please tell me). However, I am certainly going to give deals to people who want to buy more than one item. We'll negotiate that. Please email me at mcollinge at gmail dot com or call me at 250 592 5809. Thanks, Mike. Miscellaneous for sale: Norco EuroSport road bike. This is a nice bike with new tires and brake pads. I've had this bike for 2 years with no problems whatsoever: $200 Technics SL 2000 turntable. This is a nice direct drive turntable with a fairly new cartridge: $80 Instruments For Sale: Ludwig Drum Kit. 80's. 6 Piece (currently only 2 toms are set up, but it comes with a 3rd). Includes a Dixon kick pedal, a pearl hh stand, some fairly crappy high hats, a Pearl snare, a CB snare, a no-name cymbal stand, a nice but no-name snare stand: $800 Gibson SG Special. Black. 80's. It is in reasonably good shape. It is an unusually solid SG (I can safely put 11 or even 12 gauge strings), and has locking tuners. The headstock cracked one time when I knocked it off a stand, but it didn't break all the way through and all the damage was above the nut. I fixed it using wood glue and haven't had any issues at all since. Price includes a hard case: $800 Titan Accordion. I don't really know a lot about accordions. One of the keys sticks, but that seems like it should be easy to fix. Price includes a hard case: $200 Boss Chromatic Tuning Pedal: $90 Big Muff Pi: $100 Recording Gear For Sale: Audio Technica 4047 (I have 2). They are large diaphragm condenser mics that use contain transformers, giving them a warmer, more coloured tone. These mics are the real deal -- many consider the 4047 to be the most useful Audio Technica mic and some consider it to be the most useful mic for under $1000 (whatever that means...). These where not bought as a matched pair, but when I measured them they were within 1 db of each other (RMS, peak). They are great on drums (room or OH), vocals and acoustic guitar: $450 each, both for $800 Groove Tubes Brick. The most affordable real tube mic pre (it is not a starved-plate "toob" design like cheaper mic pres described as "tube"). It has a real transformer and so on. It sounds great -- there is really a stark difference between this and mackie pres or whatever: $375 M-Audio Delta 1010 soundcard (I have 2). These are nice soundcards. Very clean. What can I say... there doesn't seem to be much difference between these soundcards and those that cost many times more: $150 each. Studio Projects B1 mic. It is a large diaphragm condenser that is quite clean and bright. It is great on vocals and drums. This is the older model before they included a pad or a HPF: $75 Studio Projects VTB1 mic pre. This is a mic pre with an optional "toob" stage. Without the toob engaged, it is very clean. With the toob engaged it gets nicely gnar: $90 M-Audio DMP3 2-channel mic pre (I have 2... selling 4 channels, you understand?). These guys are very straightforward, clean, transparent mic pres. They include HPFs and a pad. Each channel has its own VU meter, which is very sexy and is guaranteed to get you the girls: $110 each, both for $200 AKG D112. Your standard kick drum mic used the world over and on all your favourite records: $180 Shure 57: $70; Shure 58: $75; Shure Beta 58: $90; and old-school Shure alternate model 58: $40. Or take all four for $200. Audio Technica ATH M30 headphones: $50 Apex AHA4 headphone amp: $20 Behringer Eurorack MX602a Mixer. 4 channel mixer (but only 2 XLR inputs, the others are 1/4 inch) with 3 band EQs: $50. - Tue, 12 Aug 2008 7:57pm | ||
