| Pure User Info... | Myself and another guitarist are looking for members to complete an as yet unnamed melodic death metal band. We need a bass player, a drummer, a vocalist and possibly a keyboard player. Some of our more popular influences include earlier In Flames, earlier Soilwork, Dark Tranquility, Amon Amarth, Dimension Zero, newer Hypocrisy, and Sentenced. Anyone interested needs to: - Be very good at their instrument. - Be self motivated as well as a dedicated (no flakes) and a hard worker (if the music appeals to you) - Have their own gear (instruments, amps, etc) - Love metal. This aint no rock band. - Be able to practice at least twice a week and be able to chip in for rental of a jam space - Be between the ages of 20-28 This will be a serious band with every intention of touring, making a cd, website, etc. If you are interested, I'd be more than happy to e-mail you some tracks so you can get an idea of what we sound like. | Pure User Info... | I'll elaborate a bi ton what we are looking for Vocals: Must be able to scream in the death metal style. High or low, male or female doesnt matter as long as you are good at what you do. Actual singing ability is a great bonus but wont be used often. Must be able to write your own lyrics if needed. Bass: Must tune to B. A 5 stringer would be preferable. Must also be able to pick fairly fast and make own parts if required. Drums: Must be a real "metal" drummer (ie: Must have the ability to play steady double bass and throw in a blast beat when needed.. which isnt often). Obviously someone who keeps a steady beat. We'd like someone who plays an energetic style, likes variety in their beats and likes to pull off fills. We are willing to look for someone between 20-30. Keyboards : Mostly atmospheric (think Older Soilwork or Dark Tranquility). Someone who is able to enhance music in subtle ways.
