There's nothing all too new in this article (seems like common sense, mostly), but its worth being reminded of once in a while. - Sat, 13 May 2006 10:58am

I just read that Mozart part of that, I've actually
got the $300 mozart high frequency sound therapy tapes,
For anyone with tinnitus I know two people who have
been cured by sound therapy tapes. My friend's
aunt ended up with almost perfect pitch after using
the tapes. These might be of interest to musicians,
I didn't really like the effect of the tapes on me though. - Mon, 15 May 2006 12:43am

I agree, they tried doing some music therapy when I was in rehab on Gorge Road (before they moved to Vic General). - Mon, 15 May 2006 11:18pm

very cool:

De L'Etoile explains that a person with brain damage from a stroke may not be able to speak, but can sing because the area that controls music is not damaged. A therapist will get the patient to sing a phrase, then change it to spoken language with an exaggerated rhythm, and finally to natural language. "We are rerouting through the healthy part of the brain," de L'Etoile explains. - Wed, 17 May 2006 2:26pm
