St. Ann's update- Wednesday, Sept. 12th, 2007: back to St. Ann's

-

The judge's hands tied. Initiative will not come from the court. Case adjourned until January at earliest. Will see if alternative action can happen before Friday afternoon when I intend to put effort into starting a tent-city with a sentiment of 'arrest me or fuck off' to the police (in the nicest humblest way- patience be with me). There promises to be enough action- cardboard and cops. Now that the Attourney General is giving full backing to the city I have no qualm with going back to St. Ann's, so I intend to- because it is a practical spot for a permanent community and apparently there is no authority to tell me not too.

You could have just worded it like this:

"My sugar daddies are protecting me now. Now my intentions are to be a deliberate pain in the ass of the public and the city, so me and my buddies are going to destroy some beautiful grounds again."

I hope this time they will have a platoon of security guards yelling and clapping their hands over your tents at night.

You also have "the right to sleep anywhere else". Why not look up a nice patch of dirt in Saanich where you and your friends will bother no one and no one will bother you? Probably cause there's less needle exchanges and garbage dumpsters out there. And more cougars. - Thu, 13 Sep 2007 10:26am

Hey DAJ, I'm sure you know about all this already, but it seems our friendly southron neighbours are more than accepting of your lifestyle.

Story in short, go move to Seattle. And take your buddies with you.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tent_city

Homeless people have long resorted to seeking shelter in tent groups, but these communities are one of the first known to be organized by a sponsoring organization (a partnership between the Seattle Housing and Resource Effort and Women's Housing Equality and Enhancement League, often referred to by the combined acronym SHARE/WHEEL), and, even more notably, are one of the first in a major U.S. city to be largely accepted by local governments. Contrary to some stereotypes regarding the homeless, many residents of Tent City are employed, mostly in temporary or day labor jobs, but have insufficient income to obtain more permanent housing.

The original Tent City and Tent City 2, both created in the late 1990s, were created illegally and opposed by the City of Seattle. After being tolerated for some time, they were eventually forced to shut down. In March of 2002, as a result of a legal battle, city attorney Tom Carr and SHARE/WHEEL attorney Ted Hunter signed a court ordered consent decree with SHARE, allowing Tent City only on private land (by invitation) and setting standards for its operation.

Based on the consent decree Tent City 3 was created and rotates around the Metro Seattle Core. Tent City 4 was created in May of 2004 as an attempt to expand beyond the consent decree and use public land and resources, something the consent decree does not allow. This attempt was unsuccessful and Tent City 4 has since been relocated to eastern King County where it is church sponsored.

Tent City rules do not allow drug or alcohol use, and evicts anyone caught stealing or committing other crimes within the camp. Stays for Tent City 3 have been around 3 weeks on average while Tent City 4 has had stays as long as 100 days. Cities have been adopting code amendments that limit stays to 60-90 days. - Fri, 14 Sep 2007 9:08am

St. Ann's update- Friday, Sept. 14th, 2007

-

alright.

Waited around courthouse with people to hear from lawyers on when the Charter Challenge will officially happen. January 18th is a date all the lawyers are bouncing around. They will present this with a judge, to make official, on Monday.

I got to St. Ann's about 4. 7 oher people. 3 reporters. Chilled for a bit (not more than an hour) then reporters leave. 5 minutes later cops pull up. Arrest me for violating the permenent injunction that is on St. Ann's until 2008 (what does permenent mean again?). They take me to the copshop and leave me in the car. Meanwhile they've told my friends that they will be able to see me on Monday when I would go in front of a judge... so they all leave. Police drive me back to St. Ann's because the injunction doesn't go into affect until 11:00 PM. I Meditate a couple hours and absolutely no one else pops by. Security dude comes by to say hello. I use his cellphone to call my friend to let him know I am no longer under arrest. He comes. I accept that people are not coming and presume they are going to wait for the trial in January. Tent-city is not happening now. I have to wait until January for the freedom to sleep unobtrusively under a tree, it seems.

The fact that I am a father-to-be is about to hit the mainstream. The only thing I will say about that is that I'm doing what I believe every father should be doing. The faster this is dealt with the faster I can get on to being a proper father.

The maintainence of capitalism absolutely requires interment camps and a sweet mild martial law. Love be with us.

who will pay the medical costs if there are any compilcations in the pregnancy or childbirth? i wish no ill will on the safe arrival of your child, perhaps you will get a grip when you fall in love with your baby. i can't help but wonder if mommy is out of her teenage years yet...naive and idealistic enough to let you bone her...i am sure when you start feeding your child garbage, sleeping in the downtown core of a city full of mentally ill, addicted(bless their hearts) umpredictable people, thieves, dealers, and involving your child in acts of civil disobedience, the man (ministry) will really step in and you will know what it is like to be taken from!
unless you don't plan on raising your baby in the lifestyle for which you preach, not good enough for your child?
