| _Griphin_ User Info... | Not really, I just thought it was an interesting point, so I replied with an equally interesting counterpoint. :) There have been numerous examples where artists have borrowed riffs and lyrics and used them in their own work (Led Zeppelin is another example, take a look at the first album and how they blatently copied old blues songs without giving those artists original credit). Allusion is the literary technique where other works of literature, art or historical events are specifically referred to in order to add another layer or a deeper meaning to a given text.
