Wackakapow User Info... | Howdy all, we just finished up our 5-song EP with Scott Henderson at Sea of Shit studios. I totally recommend Scott, the place physically lives up to its name but the guy can record like it's nobody's business, he's a kickass dude and it was super cheap. Give'er a listen, you won't be sorry. http://www.myspace.com/sanijav oh yeah. - Tue, 21 Feb 2006 12:34pm
lonemonk User Info... | Jesus, that was quick. You guys were just there on Saturday! - Tue, 21 Feb 2006 4:38pm
wackakapow User Info... | We don't mess around. We practiced everything without lyrics a bunch and knew exactly what we wanted to do in the way of backups etc, so things went very smoothly. - Tue, 21 Feb 2006 5:27pm
lonemonk User Info... | There is no doubt being prepared saves a lot of time and money. It also makes the whole process smoother and sound better. A recording studio is no place to learn material thats for damn sure. - Wed, 22 Feb 2006 10:07am
SaL User Info... | Sounds really good, Great quality for off the floor too. nice vocals - Wed, 22 Feb 2006 11:21am
Zippgunn User Info... | Erm, well it wasn't COMPLETELY off the floor; we did overdub the vocals and a couple of guitar solos but the meat of it was done live which is the way you should do it if you want some "feel" to the music. For exact precision you have to do it track by track (tedious and expensive). And the Sanijav guys were very well prepared and it saved them $100 off the estimate that I gave them. Gear worked, songs were learned without vocals, etc. We even squeezed an extra song in. All in all a very pleasant way to spend your birthday... if you're me.If all the bands I did had it together like these guys my life would be a lot simpler. - Thu, 23 Feb 2006 1:00pm
wackakapow User Info... | Aah! Blowing our cover, Scott, jeez! Just don't tell anyone about the voice-pitch altering, or the fact that you played all the instrumets because we were far too inept. I kid, only Mitch was. We might be doing three more songs with you soon if you're not too busy moving. Expect a call. - Sat, 25 Feb 2006 1:15am
Zippgunn User Info... | You do realise that I'm on tour for the first half of March (with dp smith and Dad' Juice on the road with the Buttless Chaps, a Canadian rock and roll first in that we are touring with TWO euphoniums and THREE banjos!!!). I get free about the 25th of March or so. And it looks like the Sea of Shit may well be going the way of the dodo before too terribly long, likely by the summer. - Mon, 27 Feb 2006 1:36am
wackakapow User Info... | Ay-yi-yi... for the euphoniums and the mid-march thing... Actually I've listened to some buttless chaps, they're cool. I always thought the euphonium was part of the digestive system or some kind of mollusk. Well hopefully the bus studio is running next year for album #2 if you can find somewhere to stash all those records. - Tue, 28 Feb 2006 9:41am
