H User Info... | After experimenting with many different setups I have found the mother of all rigs: SVT-II PRO and old school ampeg 8x10. You gotta go old because the speakers aren't as sensitive, letting you dig in more for a much more meaty tone. And tens are the way to go. They are nice n fast, push more air and provide good mids, which are crucial for bass. You want massive bass? Let the soundguy do it. Just dial up a nice juicy tone for monitoring and everyone at the front of the stage - Mon, 23 Jan 2006 6:47pm

Tyler User Info... | at least you have a compressor tambo! that is a smart move in a bass setup, especially for recording and not muddying up the whole spectrum my bass setup is as follows: fender jazz fretless with dimarzio pickups and fatass bridge alas I have no bass amp. my best method of recording is recording via line-in directly, then using software to compress the recorded audio. not very convenient or... um... good. haha. - Wed, 25 Jan 2006 10:35pm
jackass User Info... | I've got an Ernie Ball Music Man, an ampeg 4x10 deep tuned cabinet and an ampeg SVT-3 pro. I also use a Sansamp Driver (it's awesome). I used to use a compression/sustain pedal, and although I really dig the benefits of compression and sustain, I got really sloppy because of it and really noticed when I didn't have the pedal. I guess it can become a bit of a crutch. - Thu, 26 Jan 2006 8:47am
Tambo User Info... | Well, I have no talent anyways, so it's no big deal. - Thu, 26 Jan 2006 6:52pm
