| XY-SATAN User Info... | We regret to inform that after 10 years and 4 albums we, as a band, will no longer continue as NOTHINGFACE. We cannot begin to thank all our friends, family and most importantly our fans for their continued support through out the years. It was a great 10-year run and we thank you all for the great memories! We could only hope that we gave you as much as you gave us. | XY-SATAN User Info... | A little more - Now former Nothingface bassist Bill Gaal has issued a statement regarding his upcoming new project Perfect Enemy, which also features ex-Nothingface vocalist Matt Holt, here's what he had to say: "After spending the last 6 months writing music for my side project Perfect Enemy, it became obvious that these songs were going to be extremely different than what I had been writing previously in Nothingface. These songs were exploring a more melodic and complex side of my writing that may not have been appropriate for a Nothingface album and I found that my roots in bands like Jawbox and Shudder to Think were beginning to come to the surface of my writing. It was probably some of the most honest and exciting music I had ever written! I sent these new songs to Matt and he immediately got it. We have always shared a love for the old Washington D.C. music scene and the idea of finishing off these songs together was really exciting for both of us. Matt and I are in the process of putting together the last few members of Perfect Enemy as I write this. Fans should expect a band that is musically very diverse, melodic and heavy. I will be playing guitar and singing, Matt will be singing and playing some guitar, with another guitar player,bass player and drummer to be announced soon. | Mr. Hell User Info... | A shame they are no longer. The record company basically cancelled their contract because they weren't gaining a lot of new fans, yet the company was really skimping on promotion and wasn't pushing their material. A Catch-22 for Nothingface. They were a wicked band. I felt that they were at their prime with the release of Skeletons. Excellent songs...not a bad one in the bunch! One more and I figure they would have produced that elusive mega-hit so many bands strive for. Perfect Enemy will be worthy of checking out...no question! - Fri, 13 Feb 2004 4:24pm | ||
