| Chris Logan User Info... | Thursdays is now called LOGAN'S. That's the only big change right now, though. So if you didn't like it before, you probably won't like it now. Although if you did like it before, you might like it more now, because 'Thursdays' is a pretty pathetic name. Although, then again, you might think naming a bar after oneself is a little dopey, too. | Shwartz Bay Fairy | You really should have asked around about a name dude. A broad perspective is always a good thing to have.That place is the coolest place in town I think. It's got all it's bases covered. Pub, live music(eclectic mix of bands), small and personal, good location for all to get to. No fucking idiot bouncers. Differest groups brought together through music in an environment that blends everyone in. You should book some cool shows this summer. I think that pub should be Victoria's "Casbah" or "CBGB's". The kind of place that bands from all around will know about and make Victoria a place to play while on tour. | Anonymous | It's true the sightlines are pretty rough... if they knocked out that wall that divides the stage area from what used to be the pool room maybe that would help. But I heard city bylaws won't let them. The ceiling is too low in there to get a higher stage, I guess. Also, I wonder if they couldn't spread the sound out a bit by running a line out from the PA to their stereo, for the folks out front? Maybe that would help as the sound gets kind of muffled when the place fills up. As for location, it's what, maybe a 10-15 minute walk from downtown? I do have an attachment to Thursday's just cause that's been the name of the place I've gone 2 or 3 times a month since November, but it is a pretty generic name.... My roommate says Logans' (should the apostrophe be at the end? Like, it belongs to several Logans?) sounds like a cowboy bar... Before long I'll probably like Logans' just cause that's the place that has all the good shows...... Could you still have a naming contest? Have you change the signs and everything?
