YAY LARS! just listened to some metallica that i've left lying around for a few years.. what a fucking hack. - Sun, 30 Mar 2003 4:56pm
Anonymous He may not be a good drummer, but he's just such a cutie-pie, what with his tantrums and his quasi-FAS good looks! - Sun, 30 Mar 2003 6:23pm

No wonder they stopped playing metal. - Mon, 31 Mar 2003 12:31pm
Sudz Lars is just eccentric like most millionaire musicians. I pretty much lost hope on the Metallickers after the black album, however I've heard this new St.Anger coming out in June is a mother fucker!! Back to their original style so to speak. Battery, Dyer's Eve velocity. I hope its true. - Mon, 31 Mar 2003 3:48pm
fuck you metallica are still a great band, and have always have been. The reason all you who think other wise, is because when both you and i first became fans of metallica, it was almost rebelious, then when the black album came out, it wasnt cool anymore for you to where your master of puppets back patch on your jean jacket. thts why alot of us have lost respect for them. their music is still heavy and well written. good job With Suicidal tendencies ex bass player, things should heat up now anyways. Cant wait for new album - Mon, 31 Mar 2003 3:56pm

WRONG!!!! metallica sucks because they play bullshit pop rock garbage now. in the 80s they were pioneering as sound, now they are just trying to stay marketable. and for the record, lars was a mediocre drummer at best. - Thu, 3 Apr 2003 11:38pm

"Back to their original style "

As much as I'd like to beleive it saying stuff like that is called marketing and is as likely as Origin doing elevator music. - Fri, 4 Apr 2003 1:15am
beazlbub i was a huge metallica fan till they made the black album i couldnt believe it was the same band when the black album came out, yes they r talented but man they sure dropped the ball when they decided to make that step into the world of over exposure and greed.what makes me laugh is all these ppl that put metallica down in their beginnings r now banging their heads like they followed em all along lol.its funny how ppl change their minds so quickly once there once so hated band has become pop with the rest of their peers lol what a bunch of sheep.maybe souldouttica will put out a heavier album but i just cant support a band that whines about money and basically tells the fans they dont give a fuck about their opinions and if ya wanna hear em youll have to buy their album and god forbid you actually download somethin for free cause youll soon be visited by the lars police lol anyways im sure someone will have a nasty comeback to stick up for their beloved band but whatever its only an opinion so have a good one (b)and see ya online - Fri, 4 Apr 2003 1:20am

yeah that's all true, but where would they be if they didn't change with the times? I think about that and it's pretty obvious that they'd be finished up years ago. It's almost impossible to find a really successful band that didn't change their style eventually. I guess it comes down to not wanting to go back to playing clubs and shithole bars and that shit after you've toured the world in stadiums. I think I'd change too if I was in that position. thrash metal was their thing, but as soon as that started to dwindle, it was either get current(sp?) or turn into a nostalgia act of yourselves, like Bad Religion or some other band that hasn't had any success in ten or so years but still refuses to give it up and still tours playing all their old songs that 30 - 40 year olds want to hear from when they were young and were "metal". I'll never give up on metallica because they gave me so much enjoyment over the years, but it's not a secret that the last few albums were experiments and pretty much sucked, although there were some pretty sweet moments crammed in there at times. It's like old classic rock bands that have been playing for 30 years and eventually come back to their old style because it becomes popular again, like old school metal is becoming now. I guess if you want to survive for years as a band, you have to stick it out however you can until you find another place to fit in. There's nothing more sad than a band surviving on shit they did 15 years ago. I feel embarassed when I see old favourites like Loverboy or Honeymoon Suite still playing shitehole bars in Courtney for 10 bucks admission. (2 weeks ago). Yeah this was too long, so what. Bye. - Fri, 4 Apr 2003 10:18am
