i dont think theres a big hip hop scene here, there have been some rap battles and shit, but im not too into hip hop myself, so i didnt show. If you did some good postering though im sure you could get tons of kids to come down, theres not many hip hop artists in vic, but theres a lot of kids who dig it, so im sure you could make your money back, and then some. - Sat, 22 Mar 2003 4:40pm
M.A Local rappers 'Polluted Wombs' recorded at Electric Mountain recently. Pretty cool.

Anonymous Did you rent a Boss digital recorder from L&M? Someone left all their recordings in it and it was some cool rap. - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 7:03am
Anonymous actually there is a big hip-hop scene here... if there wasn't you wouldn't have a devoted hip hop night at most of the clubs/bars in town(other than the obveous of thursday's, etc...)... there's alot more to the hip hop scene than you metal heads would like to think. Also, every hip hop show i've gone to has been sold out... not to say that i don't enjoy going to all other shows, but from the attendance i've seen at hip hop shows compared to others, my take on it is that hip hop has a bigger audience than most other genre's of music here - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 1:11pm

I heard the Vic hip-hop scene was huge, but i've never even set foot on the island. I have some friend that live there so im a have to check it for sure... i might even actually move there.
Anyone kno any hip-hop stores????

Anyone kno Brett Hewitt or Bergeil Debungie? - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 2:30pm
Anonymous shut the hell up, and quit calling us all metalheads. - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 2:31pm
SweetGrass There is definitely a hip hop scene here. Those kids @ Claremont and Oak Bay High etc. have the dough and more than enough attitude to sell out an all ages gig with the right advertising!. You should check out the rest of the scene here though. Victoria is busting with talent right now and no one should be limited to one genre. - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 3:45pm
The Voice Of Reason If there wasn't a Hip Hop scene here, Lucky Bar wouldn't be doing half as well as they are. The more acts that come here the better. Victoria IS bursting with talent on all sides, unfortunatly that talent suffers from a huge lack of representation and like someone said in a similar post, Livevic messageboarders don't represent everybody, mostly the punk/metal side of Vic. - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 4:02pm

Anonymous I would ask Degree One about the hip hop scene. It's actually pretty good. It's just that this Livevictoria doesn't have a lot of people that seem that into hip hop. Most on this board are more into rock and punk. - Sun, 23 Mar 2003 7:34pm
