nelly furtado is probably the most famous, although yeah she probably wont be remembered. other than that dayglo i guess would be my opinion. - Thu, 30 Jan 2003 6:19pm
ML7Mike I dunno how ML7 makes that list, we've barely even toured.. I mean, sure some people overseas know of us, but compared to say the Dayglos who have toured extensively, and will tour more.. - Thu, 30 Jan 2003 6:44pm

In order it's probably Smelly Furtaco, Hot hot heat and Nomeansno. Smelly will be gone soon, HHH is still in the wait and see stage and NMN have been THE shit outa town for about 20 years. Bringing up the rear are the Dayglos and, believe it or not, Carolyn Mark who's well known esp in the states. - Fri, 31 Jan 2003 2:59pm

Zippgunn, I'm surprised at you... If you're talking about people who lived here and left then David Foster is probably the most famous musical son, but if you're talking about people who live here now then the Karr-Lewis Duo would probably stand a good chance as the most famous band in town. After all, Time Magazine did call Gary Karr the greatest bass player of this century and I think that they have toured more countries and sold more records then any of the other suggestions? But then again, that would be classical music... is that allowed? - Sun, 2 Feb 2003 5:08pm

Bryan Adams got his start here in good old Vic with the hideous Sweeny Todd (He was known as Bryan Guy Adams back then) - Sun, 9 Feb 2003 10:48pm
S.V. Aw...Zipp you mean to tell me I'm wrong??? I guess being the ancient one you are, gives you the advantage here ;) Well he may have got his musical start in Vic...but I'm fairly certain he grew up in Van. But what the hell do I care? We are talking about Bryan Adams after all...someone I'd really rather forget all together. :) - Mon, 10 Feb 2003 2:58pm

Hideous Sweeny Todd!!!! you're fucked!!!

Hey zippgunn, Sweeny Todd is the best damn band to EVER come out of Victoria!! beats swell prod by a mile!!!

Fuck I've never laughed so loud in my life! - Mon, 10 Feb 2003 4:55pm
whatever Why are people still talking about Armorous, yes they WERE fucking amazing for thier day and Terry Groom Kicks ass on the drums...but come on. Let's move past these relics of has been veteran musical landscapes. That's the fucking problem with Victoria, all you fucking morons are stuck in the 80's to early 90's and that's fucking it! The closest you get to anything new is all the old shit revamped and polished to sound more modern with the same cheesy metal undertones. Fubar is not laughing with you it's laughing at you!!! There is other music out there and if you opened your eyes and ears you might just notice it, and shit even like it! The mind set for most people out here is this: "I don't know your band but i've heard of your band for many years therefore i should pretend to support your band so that i'm not the only one who's completely ignorant of this apparently cool club i know nothing truly about...." Fuck! What a catch 22. This town is too clicky. This false sense of support is even more obvious then ever on this site, everyone is putting down everyone. If we want this town to flourish so that there won't be another resurgence of this bottom of the barrell, 2nd rate, Cure rip off, british moptop invasion Cream of Wheat...err Not hot heat rather, then we need to get out and support the local bands at the live venue-not support the bands that have come and are GONE and for the record Meatlocker 7 are fucking awesome. - Mon, 10 Feb 2003 9:32pm
