ANY Velvet Revolver - It was as if some dumb-ass thought it up while high out of his mind and it became an ugly and dumb reality 4. DOA - Let's Wreck The Party - Punk bands shouldn't have guitar keyboards no matter what part of the 80's you're trying to cater too. 5. Elizabeth - same old retro crap. Hot Hot heat was like an annoying itch, bands like these are the rash that follow. 6. Dave Matthews Band - Shut the hell up and take your people with you. Horrible. 7. Jane's Addiction. | Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | I've heard two songs by Cold Play - their 'hits', I guess - on the radio, and goddamnit if they sure didn't sound quite similar. Tinkling piano, that soaring, airy sound (for lack of a better way of putting it), the same ahead-of-the-beat snare and the singer sounding like Sting on quaaludes. Sure hope the rest of their stuff isn't as 'samey' sounding. They induced osinosis in me. Anyway, whenever they come on the radio in the work truck I fantasize about them ending up underneath, like buddy at Hillside and Blanshard. Yes, I hate everything by these over-hyped crap-monkeys. 3- Bright Eyes. The quivering vocals, the slapped-together songwriting, the fact that yuppie culture vultures play this shit for their dates when they're trying to come off as sensitive and in-the-know, it all makes me want to puke me pantalons. 4- Bob Dylan. What a dithering idiot. The guy can't carry a tune in a bucket, all he can think of are clever rhymes, and all his songs are basically about pudding. Blonde on Blonde sucks and so does everything else to which he's ever applied his wretched, worn-out hackery. The Travelling Wilburys are an embarrasment to super-groups. 5- Neil Young and any other person or group that sounds remotely like him by will or accident (My Morning Jacket? Check. Great Lake Swimmers? Check. Three Dog Night? Check. Metallica? Check). The guy looks like an orc and he sounds like a dying bovine/armadillo. 6- Tracy Chapman. Need I say more? 7. The Beatles. The Beatles suck. The only good song they ever had was that song about money, all the other songs sucked. John Lennon went on to suck before he was helped out of his misery. George sucked (While My Guitar Gently Weeps? What a bunch of crap). Paul still sucks. Ringo was a good drummer, though. 8. The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons. Sucked. Can't stand them. 9. Clearance Clearwater Revival. Their songs make me so angry. Tangerines and Elephants can't play musical instruments in real-life, don't you see!? 10. Pink Floyd. The whole Wall thing was so ridiculous. All in all, Pink Floyd makes me want to chew off my toenails and put them in a blender with some clamato, some ghost-busters slime and some strychnine and end my life once and for all.
