I was totally shellshocked when I heard that at work today. The Clash are one of my all time favorite bands. I got to see them play three times, and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. Fuckin hell all my favorite punk rockers are dying, it sucks getting old sometimes. - Mon, 23 Dec 2002 9:58pm

Shiiiiit...I've had to listen to Christmess 'music' all day at work, so this is the first I've heard about this. I own every album on vinyl, the Clash boxset...fuuuuck. Joe Strummer shaped the way I see the world and live my life. What more can I say? A truly irreplaceable, devastating loss. R.I.P. Joe. - Mon, 23 Dec 2002 10:46pm
Anon386 At least he lived about 30 years longer than the other supposed geniuses of rock. Cobain/ morrison/lennon etc.. - Mon, 23 Dec 2002 10:52pm

Anon386 Yes they do. Not to you or me but believe me there are droves of people who cite them as being incredibly important to the highly significant world of POP rock. - Mon, 23 Dec 2002 11:07pm
