| laprider User Info... | Would you Spend $10.00 (?) admission to attend a one day event that loosely structured had the following going on. -a free gear buy and sell area for one or two items -low fee rentable tables, for dealers, collectors, builders, repair persons, music schools -On Site QUALIFIED REPAIRS ( where realistic) -free gear check up ie. whats this buzz, why this always do that? -free guitar once over...intonation/ quick set up! | Anchor User Info... | +1 I'd be in. Perhaps a sound check stage with gear demos by reps/endorsees etc., and local musicians/band perfomances? Also maybe try and get reps from companies to set up displays/booths. Allow entrants to bring gear (1amp/1 guitar) to swap/ sell with collectors. | bkp User Info... | I'd be most drawn to a gearswap with clinics and a headliner performance. The swap could be structured like they have the MEC one every year, which is hugely popular and you don't have to man your own table to sell stuff. I think entrance would have to be free for it to attract enough people to work, but you could take donations and charge to sign up for each clinic. Company booths and technician tables would be a good side addition but they interest me less. Add some food and a special performances to cap it all off and you could have something great.
