The Hokum Steamers

The Hokum Steamers include Mike Ballantyne , guitar & vocal, with Rick Van Krugel on mandolins, guitar, vocal and autoharp and, when we're not playing as a duo, we also have Carter Bannerman on mandola, guitar and vocals.
We play 1920's & 1930's country blues and gospel together with some jazzy things and a couple of period popular songs.
We play music festivals, folk clubs, churches (dedicated gospel sets), and to anyone who is interested in polished performance of authentic, early blues and gospel.
