Singer/songwriter/actor & voice teacher Vikki Flawith sang in church and school choirs from an early age. In her early twenties, she appeared at many Vancouver lounges, pubs and Legions with her MOR/country band, and performed in a number of musicals and plays.
She has performed with Pacific Opera Victoria, Western Concert Opera, Vancouver Academy of Music, Theatre under the Stars, Theatrespace, Vancouver Musical Theatre, Victoria Operatic Society, and Metro Theatre.
Among others, Vikki has performed with Kathy Kidd, Peter Dent, Mary McKinney, Larrein Trudeau, Darryl Nixon, and AnnaLouise Moorman; gigs included everything from classical and country to musical theatre and jazz.
Vikki began teaching group vocal lessons in January of 1996 and established her own vocal studio in May of that year. In Vancouver, she taught at the Kerrisdale and Dunbar Community Centres (1996 - 1998) and at the Burrard Music Studio (1996 - 2002). Vikki has a very active teaching studio in Victoria. She is especially enthusiastic about working with mature students who have a passion for singing.
As a songwriter/composer for film & television she specializes in world, techno-orchestral, electronica, and new age with a focus on creating music for sci fi, horror, suspense, drama and comedy. Over the past two years she has signed tracks to several music publishers and music libraries.
